Birthday Shout outs

Sincere apologies for being a tardy weave but this week has given me some split ends.

A belated birthday shout out goes out to Ms. Rebecca and Ms. Roulie who both celebrated their situations on Thursdays. Work it ladies!

And now that's it officially the 30th of June, a big Happy Birthday goes out to Ms. Sara in London. Smack some foreskin for me, girlfriend!

To recap the past few days, Ms. Rebecca had a delicious shindig at Brass Monkey on Thursday evening where white collars were abound, the paparazzi was omnipresent, and I chugged Chimay like Lindsay Lohan out of rehab. Honey, I said, "Yes! Yes! Yes".

Tonight was a bon voyage to Ms. Jessica who is fleeing town for Boston for new opportunities and non-asshole men. We had a gorgeous time on the rooftop chugging Prosecco, margaritas, and assorted adult beverages. The weather has decided to be fabulous and it's so San Francisco chic out. I really needed a jacket tonight! Loves.

BET Awards or GLAAD Awards...Same difference!

I watched the BET Awards tonight and it was so so so gay - I don't know what to say. What does a gay horse eat? Haaayyyyyyyyy!

The show opened with Ms. Jennifer Hudson singing her Dreamgirls anthem ("And I Am Telling You...I'm Not Going"). You ask, "Is that THAT gay?" (Yes, honey...) It is when Ms. Jennifer Holiday joins her on stage and they have a "Diva-off". I myself prefer a Cher-off, but irregardeless, it was incredible. Then the love of my life, Mo'nique opened the show with the big girl backup dancers and worked her weave lip-synching to a Beyonce song (while B was in the audience hysterically laughing). Yes, Baby! Later on, Beyonce performed "Get Me Bodied" and had the fiercest weave of them all! Work it, sister! Ms. Michelle Williams came on stage for the dance situation towards the end, then they transitioned to Ms. Kelly Rowland's new single. All my Destiny's Child dreams were coming true!! My weave was very happy. Also, Ms. Patti Labelle broke it down during the Gerald Levert tribute and Mo'nique gave a shout out to his daughter, Carlysia. Since I'm such a bopper, the first thing I thought of was, "Oh my weave, I know her!"...and by know her, I mean I saw her on My Super Sweet 16. I need help.

Damn, my weave is sweaty

It's getting sweltering and unpleasant in NYC and my weave is not pleased. A/C? Yes, oh yes, please.

I had a nice and relaxing weekend full of delicious scallops, salmon and avocado tartare, cocktails, wine, and general loveliness. Isn't life grand? It's my last week on my current show and this caboose will be moving on so BEEP BEEP, TOOT TOOT!

Who's excited for Paris' imminent jail release? Me too! Us socialites need to stay together. I can't believe she's doing Larry King. What's the world come to? Maybe I should do Anderson Cooper. Wait, um...

My weave is happy it's Friday

Another week is done and now my weave can finally relax!

I had a delicious day yesterday with Ms. Jessica. We met in the afternoon for a fabulous lunch at Balthazar's to see how our fellow socialites live. French bistro fare abound, delicious raw seafood, cute Frenchies...loves. A leisurely stroll through Soho and a few swipes of the credit card later, I napped before my evening out.

I met up with Mr. Jeremiah, Mr. Chris, and Ms. AJ at Roseland to see the one and only Fergie Ferg. Glamorous indeed. Bless the VIP open bar situation and 10 drinks later, we were flippin our weaves and dancing the night away. What a fun show!

After a meeting this morning and an afternoon in the office, I headed to Mr. Chris and Ms. AJ's farewell party as they are getting ready to holla at the Northwest when they move to Seattle next week. The roof of Bar 13 was packed and my weave was sad to see 2 of my favorite peeps leave. Lisa and I had a nice dinner at Taralucci e Vino afterwards and I think it's bedtime for this socialite.

Birthday Deliciousness

Yesterday was a gorgeous celebration of Ms. Jessica's birthday. After some morning meetings, I met the peeps at Koi for some fabulous fare. Holla at my Rainbow Roll and that tasty crab situation! Later in the afternoon, I scooted down to the garden at the Soho Grand for a few cocktails and crab cakes before we met Ms. Mindy at Da Silvano for dinnertime! Delicious as always. After 2 bottles of wine, we decided to zip back up to MTV for a taping of 45 at Night with Maroon 5, Kanye, and Eve. Adam gave Ms. Jessica a birthday shoutout. How lovely!

Fabulous

What a fabulous weekend! In general, it was just delicious to have two days off from the madness of my job to relax my weave and increase my alcohol consumption. Bottoms up!

Saturday evening, a gaggle of us met at Giorgione 508 for some delicious fare and even more scrumptious adult beverages before roaming the streets, enjoying even more cocktails at the Soho Grand, and ending the evening at The Bubble Lounge, dancing inappropriately to Rihanna's "Umbrella" - ella - ella -eh -eh - eh until all hours of the evening. Loves.

Today, I had a lovely day out on Ms. Mindy and Ms. Jessica's gorgeous rooftop and yes, I laid out...with all my clothes on. Holla! Then, to celebrate Ms. Jessica's upcoming birthday, we had a tasty and extravagant dinner at Kittichai where we said "Holla at the tasting menu!", and we most certainly did.

I feel completely stuffed and may need to research self done colon therapy with a garden hose and loofah to make this feeling go away.

Happy Birthday LaToya!

Happy belated birthday LaToya! Apologies for not blogging earlier but I've been in a cloud of shoots and I am trying my best to see the light at the end of this long ass tunnel.

I had a delightful evening last night where I met LaToya and friends for a gorgeous dinner at La Esquina. Holla at the ceviche cause that situation was tasty. Then we rolled down to Milk & Honey for some cocktailing before I was face down on the couch, passed out.

I need a new weave

Profuse apologies for being so out of touch this week. My weave has been so over processed, over worked, and is so...over it! Mommy, where's my trustfund money? I can't even deal with this "working" anymore. It's destroying my spirit. Socialites aren't meant to work. Just drink, walk red carpets, and go to jail (then be taken out and thrown right back in - Sorry Paris!).

Wednesday evening was delightful. Ms. Sam had her fairwell bash as she is skipping off to London for a new job. I couldn't be more jealous! Sammy, get me a job! Sponsor this socialite! Lots of cocktails and dancing to be had!

Thursday evening, I had a gorgeous dinner with Ms. Sheree. Holla at Shun Lee! The Gran Marnier Shrimp were divine! Thanks for a tasty dinner, Sheree!

And last night? What fabulous thing did I do? Oh, I worked my weave until nearly 11PM, came home, had dinner, watched some Oprah, and said "Oh Hell No!" and went to bed.

I've got some more work to do today (ugh!) and then will be off to see Ms. Natalie M. for her belated birthday celebration at Room 18 tonight! Holla!

Happy Kathy Griffin Day!

Yes, indeed. It's time to rejoice. Grab your dildos and dental dams and let's celebrate! It's Kathy Griffin's premiere night on Bravo. At 9PM, her new comedy special, "Everyone Can Suck It" airs, and at 10PM, the long awaited premiere of Season 3 of "My Life on the D List" airs. I will admit, I couldn't wait and watched the first episode on Bravo's website a few weeks ago and it was gorgeous. Loved every second. I was even more thrilled that the after party from her show didn't make it to air. Unfortunately, I acted like the biggest tool and had my photo taken with her...all whilst the cameras rolled. I'd look like an Asian after drinking 2 bottles of wine if that situation saw the light of broadcast.

Enjoy...and suck it!

Knocked Up

This movie is hilarious! I was a bit wary since it was produced by Judd Apatow, the same guy who did "The 40 Year Old Virgin", which was the equivalent of waxing your asshole with a pair of tweezers. However, this film was fantastic. Amazingly witty, great comedic timing, and a talented cast. I've never given two poops about Ms. Katherine Heigl since I've never watched a full episode of Grey's Anatomy, but she was great!

Go out and see this movie! Two thumbs up the butt!
